With NBA training camps approaching, front offices around the league are making their final roster adjustments, adding developmental players, filling camp spots and continuing negotiations on several significant contracts.

76ers Load Up for Training Camp

The Philadelphia 76ers have been among the league’s busiest teams, adding three players on Exhibit 10 contracts.

Veteran center Tacko Fall will get another opportunity to earn an NBA roster spot after signing a training camp deal with Philadelphia. The 7-foot-6 center gives the Sixers additional size and an intriguing option to evaluate during the preseason.

Philadelphia also added Jameer Nelson Jr. and Saint Thomas on Exhibit 10 contracts, giving both players an opportunity to compete for a roster spot or potentially remain within the organization through the G League.

Kuminga Lands in Minnesota

One of the more notable remaining free agents is off the board.

Jonathan Kuminga has agreed to a two-year, $12.4 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, giving Minnesota another athletic forward as it continues reshaping its rotation for the 2026-27 season.

Kuminga's combination of size, explosiveness and transition scoring gives the Timberwolves another potential weapon on the wing and a player who could outperform the value of his new contract.

Hornets Adjust Roster

The Charlotte Hornets signed forward Trey Townsend while waiving Josiah Allick to create roster space.

The move gives Townsend an opportunity to compete during camp as Charlotte continues evaluating the back end of its roster ahead of the preseason.

Jazz Add Murrell

The Utah Jazz signed guard Matthew Murrell to an Exhibit 10 contract.

Murrell will enter training camp competing for a roster opportunity, with the Exhibit 10 structure also giving Utah flexibility to keep him within its developmental system if he does not make the final NBA roster.

Several Players Head Overseas

A handful of players with NBA experience are continuing their careers internationally.

Josh Primo has signed a one-year contract with BC Parma in Russia, while Thanasis Antetokounmpo is headed to Greece after reaching a deal with Aris BC.

Justin Minaya is also moving overseas, signing with Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona.

Contract Talks Still Loom

While teams finalize their training camp rosters, several bigger contract situations remain unresolved.

Jalen Duren and the Detroit Pistons remain apart in extension negotiations, leaving one of Detroit's most important young players without a new long-term agreement as the season approaches.

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry has expressed confidence that he and the Golden State Warriors will eventually work through his contract situation.

With training camps set to open later this month, those negotiations could become two of the league's most closely watched contract storylines.
