S³ Fight Analysis
Teofimo Lopez was the more active and consistent fighter throughout the fight. Rolly Romero spent too much time waiting for counter punching opportunities, allowing Lopez to control rounds with his jab, movement and body attacks.
Rolly's biggest moment came in Round 5, when a looping right hand put Teofimo in serious trouble. But Romero couldn't build on it.
The fight never developed into the action-packed battle the bad blood suggested it might become.
S³ Verdict
Teofimo won clearly, but he didn't look elite at 147.
Lopez proved he can compete at welterweight and now owns a major title in a third weight class. However, this performance didn't establish him as the dominant fighter of the division.
