UConn looked done at halftime. Down 44-29, struggling to generate offense, and getting dominated on the glass, it looked like UConn was done . Then everything flipped. UConn came out of the break with a different edge and took over the game, outscoring Duke 44-28 in the second half to steal a 73-72 win-sealed by a Braylon Mullins three with 0.4 seconds left. <div><br></div><div> The first half was rough for UConn. The guards stayed at the top of the key , not enough pressure on the defense. Pick-and-roll actions didn’t create any shots. Most possessions ended in tough looks late in the clock. </div><div><br></div><div> Duke took control while UConn was trying to get into a offensive rhythm. Duke dominated the boards, built a double-digit lead, and leaned on the Boozer brothers, who carried a big portion of the offense early. Second half was a different story. UConn stopped settling and started attacking the rim . Guards got downhill. The pace picked up. Duke had to react instead of dictating. </div><div><br></div><div>That changed everything. Every defensive stop was followed by points on offense . Tarris Reed Jr. was the anchor all night. He finished with 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting, giving UConn a steady option inside when nothing else was working. As the game shifted, others stepped in: Silas Demary Jr. hit a key three during the run Solo Ball attacked off the bounce and made timely plays UConn’s guards leaned more toward scoring than creating. </div><div><br></div><div>They weren’t setting up a ton-they were going to get buckets themselves. Late in the game, it tightened up. UConn cut it to 70-69 after a big shot from Alex Karaban. Duke answered right away. Cameron Boozer went to the post and scored, pushing it back to 72-69. </div><div> </div><h3>The Final Sequence </h3><div><br></div><div> UConn full court press caused the turnover , Braylon Mullins jumped the passing lane, came up with the steal, and in one motion the whole building changed. Duke didn’t get to set up. No timeout. No control. Mullins kept it. Pulled from deep. 35 feet. No hesitation. Cash. 0.4 on the clock. That wasn’t a play call , that was a moment.</div>
