S³ Fight Summary
Abdullah Mason retained his WBO Lightweight Championship with a 12th-round TKO over Albert Bell, but this was not a simple comeback story. Bell was ahead on the S³ card before the stoppage.
Bell dominated the first six rounds with distance, patience, jab control, and clean counter right hands. He boxed smart, stayed composed, and made Mason work from too far outside.
Mason started turning the fight in Round 7. His body work began paying dividends, slowing Bell down and forcing him to breathe through his mouth. By the late rounds, Bell was bleeding from the nose and visibly gassed.
S³ Turning Point: Mason's body attack changed everything. Bell won the boxing match early, but Mason won the war of attrition late.
S³ Stoppage Assessment
Mason officially wins by TKO, but the stoppage looked questionable. Bell was tired and hurt, but the S³ view is that he deserved a chance to continue unless he was no longer defending himself.
