Two of the NFL’s biggest stars won’t appear on the standard Week 2 injury report because they have already been placed on injured reserve.
Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Myles Garrett underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss at least four games. New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown is expected to miss approximately six weeks with a high-ankle sprain.
Their absences could significantly affect two teams that entered the season with championship expectations.

Alvin Kamara, TreVeyon Henderson and Jalen Carter carry no final injury designation and are expected to play.
Vikings receiver Jauan Jennings is out because of a personal matter, not an injury.
For the Rams and Patriots, however, Week 2 begins without two foundational stars. Garrett’s absence removes the centerpiece of Los Angeles’ pass rush, while Brown’s injury leaves Drake Maye without New England’s most dangerous receiving weapon.
